Halfway Through Lecture Phase. Week 7

Sorry dear followers....if your still following. Ahem. Its been a busy past few weeks. Excuses yes I know, but this one is true. The week on "Identity and Forgiveness" with Dan Sneed proved to be my favorite so far. And God really began to work deeply in my heart in a few areas. Yesterday we had the 'twice a quarter deep clean of the whole chalet...' I spent the afternoon in the walk in freezers scrubbing shelves. But boy is it all clean now. The kitchen and entire basement smelled like a public pool with all the bleach. Begining to prepare for Outreach, and its official: ROMANIA! I felt so much peace about going to this location, and am getting really excited. This past week we had Tom Bloomer talk about "Faith Hope and Love," and it was so simply laid out and easy to grasp. Looking very much forward to the upcoming students Long Weekend beginning Thursday night. Me and a girl friend are joining up with two more friends in Barcelona Spain! Ready for a little sunshine and sleeping in! We'll keep you posted folks ;)

Beautiful colors a few weeks ago in the city

First Snow & Café Night

This week was absolutely hectic but a blast. Friday was an all day prayer day where as a community, we fasted, worshiped and prayed. It was actually fun. Saturday was the quarters party- CAFE NIGHT! The theme was Pirates and our class was in charge of production, decor, and food. I was on the decorations team and we spent HOURS creating and imagining. The result was really quite magical. A dessert/talent show! Enjoying the snowy weekend here at the Base and looking forward to Monday for "Identity" week with Dan Sneed! Its like looking on TripAdvisor when you ask around the base at dinner about how past students think back on that week of teaching. So far its everyone's favorite and I'm psyched.
The Swiss Sports shops are getting geared up for the season
Had a lovely walk with friends and visited this cow.

And TODAY we found out WHERE the options are for Outreach!
Prayers greatly appreciated as I seek God this weekend in deciding where I am to go!
I need to pick from the three options and decide by Monday!

Option 2. Romania
Option 3. Burundi

Please be praying for me!!! :) Ill update again soon. Life at the Base has been super hectic lately.
Many blessings,

A Bite to Eat

This post is dedicated to my Dad. A lover of food. This is only a glimpse, because I usually devour my food before I photograph it. I'll put more on sometime again soon.

Upper left: Last night's dinner of Tilister cheese soup and fresh focaccia bread
Upper right: Sometime last week's dinner of Korean pancakes and 'syrup' of soy cayenne sauce
Bottom left: A dinner of Brazilian chicken salad and brown bread
Bottom Right: Yup you guessed it. Oh and salad.

Life in a Day

Well it's Tuesday morning of week 3. Paul Hawkins is speaking on the Character and Nature of God.
Here are a few pictures of me at school!

This past week I received a care package from my family! Filled with little cards, drawings from my little sisters, cashews, Junior Mints, Oatmeal packets, Andes mints, granola bars! Was such a lovely surprise and made me miss home.

If you'd like to send me anything{Also mark in the customs form that it is a 'gift' and value is under $40 USD due to the import tax I would pay} (Via Packets, headbands, popsicles, letters, baby elephants)
Please send it to:

This is me practicing my French conversation laid out in order.
A group of us in the Metro station reading the book of Mark on local Outreach last week. We finished in an hour and a half and had multiple people stop to listen.

Saturday in Bern

Had a lovely Saturday in Bern today by myself! I love living here in Lausanne at the base...but with over 100 people 24/7...I need that one afternoon by myself to think. So I headed an hours train ride away to Bern, the capital of Switzerland to explore. I spent the afternoon there walking through the city, taking a million pictures, visiting a 3 story starbucks to have my weekly coffee, Skype Ben, eat Brie cheese and a chocolate croissant, stare at the ceiling of a cathedral, stroll through a open market, and write a postcard to my little sisters. It was a lovely day. And absolutely perfect weather.
